Race Rules | |
ELIGIBILITY:
- The 2010 Millennium Hotels & Resorts Corporate Challenge is open to all genuine employees of entering companies.
- National and Local Government institutions may only compete as separate departments and not as a whole i.e. as the Department of Inland Revenue.
- Clubs, unions, social, sports clubs or educational institutions may only enter their employees.
- Team members must have been employees of the company for a minimum of three months prior to the race date. Employees with a record of part-time employment may enter. Sub-Contractors are not eligible.
- Company Captains must sign the disclaimer on the official entry form.
- All entries must be submitted together. A company entry of one individual is acceptable but cannot be included in team results and are not eligible for individual awards.
- Entry Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable even in the case of event cancellation.

CEO ELIGIBILITY:
- To be eligible for the Chief Executive Officer category, this entrant must be a senior full-time employee of the executive management level (i.e. Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director, Chairman of the Board, or Senior Partner). A CEO may only compete if the company is entering a full team in any category.
SPORTS/FITNESS RELATED:
- Any company that is in any way associated with the sport/fitness profession will be placed in a special 'Sports/Fitness Related' category. Sports/Fitness related teams are not eligible for the overall team awards.
PRIVACY ACT ADVICE:
- Entry information is to be collected into a database which is and shall remain the property of Athletics Marketing and Management.
- The database will be used in the management of the race and for the purpose of Athletics Marketing and Management.
- The database will also be accessed by sponsors during the term of their sponsorship.
- The database will be managed by Athletics Marketing and Management.
OTHER:
- All participants must wear the assigned numbered timing transponder correctly tied into the shoe as per the instructions provided. The use of any other participant's timing transponder is strictly prohibited as this would compromise the results and could lead to the disqualification of the entire team.
- If a team member(s) is not able to attend, please turn in the unused timing chip(s) before the race, please do not carry them in your pocket or on your person as they will record a time and could delay correct results.
- Due to the large number of entries to be processed, all teams and team members acknowledge that entry applications that do not qualify under these rules, whether or not they have been accepted initially by the organisers may be rejected either before or after the race and those teams and/or team members disqualified.
- Walkers must start at the back of the field.
- Roller skates, skateboards, rollerblades, baby strollers, and bicycles are not permitted on the race course.
- The organisers reserve the right to delay or cancel any race in the event of dangerous weather conditions.
- The organisers or any of its employees cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen valuables.
- The organisers reserve the right to make additions, changes or clarifications of these rules without prior notice to teams or team members. The organisers will endeavour to advise teams of any rule change prior to the race, but any such change shall be considered effective for all teams and team members whether or not a team or team member has received notice of the change prior to the race.
- All decisions of the Race Director are final.
- The Race Director reserves the right to reject or disqualify any runner or team whose conduct is inappropriate to the spirit of the race. Individual disqualification's may lead to the entire team and/or company being disqualified. It is expected that teams and team members will represent their company in a sportsmanlike and professional manner. Company Captains are encouraged to distribute these rules to all of their team members.
